Reverend August Koeune

Reverend August Koeune, after serving in the Diocese of Cheyenne since 1984, retired in 2021. He has served in numerous positions, including associate pastor at St. Matthew in Gillette, the Cathedral of St. Mary in Cheyenne, and St. Patrick in Casper. His appointments as Pastor includes, St. Ann in Saratoga, St. Mary Magdalen in Evanston, St. Mary Magdalen in Worland, St. Patrick in Casper, and the Cathedral of St. Mary. Father August has served on numerous leadership roles, including the Presbyteral Council, Diocesan Finance Council, Diocesan Board of Consultors, and on the School Boards of St. Anthony Tri-Parish School in Casper and St Mary’s School in Cheyenne. Presently he is serving as Vicar for Priests and resides at the Bishop residence in Cheyenne.
