Gay Woodhouse was born and raised in Torrington, Wyoming. She received a B.A. degree with honors from the University of Wyoming and is a graduate of the University of Wyoming College of Law. She began her legal career 1978. She served as Wyoming’s first female Attorney General from 1998-2001. She also served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Wyoming. Her practice areas include: Trusts, Wills and Estate Planning, Criminal and Civil Litigation, Land Use and Easements. She founded her own law firm in 2001 which is now Woodhouse Roden & Nethercott, LLC. She was elected Laramie County Commissioner and served for one term. She is a member of the Wyoming State Bar and held was the Wyoming State Bar President. She is board member for United Way of Laramie County, Wyoming Professional Assistance Program, Wyoming Senior Olympics and has served on numerous non-profit Boards and Commissions during her career. She is married with two sons and two grandchildren. She is a competitive cyclist winning over 50 gold medals and a bronze medal at National Senior Games and enjoys working out, yoga, acrylic painting and writing.
