As we all look forward to the fresh opportunities of a new year, I am blessed and excited to serve as the new executive director of Wyoming Catholic Ministries Foundation. With the new year comes a new look for WCMF, a new staff of inspired and invigorated servants of Christ, and new approaches to serving the Catholic community of Wyoming.
Guided by the spirit of the Diocese of Cheyenne’s “Vision 2030” Pastoral Plan, WCMF wants to further develop a culture of co-responsibility, solidarity, and generous collaboration in our spiritual society. Towards this goal, we have developed a new structure of charitable funding by partnering directly with 5 long-standing Wyoming Catholic ministries; St. Joseph Children’s Home, Catholic Charities of Wyoming, St. Paul's Newman Center, St. Joseph Society, and the Diocese of Cheyenne. This will allow us to collaborate with and serve our generous donors, support the incredible work of our partner organizations and, by virtue of our status as a foundation, it also maximizes the impact of their generosity. WCMF hopes to foster an intimate, faith-led network of donors, ministry leaders, and parishioners who build a flourishing Church with love and stewardship at its heart.
In the coming weeks and months. I invite you to learn more about WCMF and get to know our incredible board of directors. WCMF has assembled a group of leaders who have long served the State of Wyoming in their individual ventures and are committed to carrying that history of successful stewardship into their work with Catholic charity. Information about the board members, staff, and our new partners and giving opportunities can be found right here on our website. Prayerfully consider joining us as we take a bold new step in Catholic ministry!
Sincerely,
Margaret Slawin,
Executive Director
